The Torrent de Pareis is a natural monument of grandeur and beauty. It is where Mallorcan nature is seen at her best to captivate us with her incredibly huge walls and her famous end at the sea. The feagship and most symbolic route of all in “Serra de tramuntana”.

The descent of the torrent de Pareis (7km) usually takes between 4 and 6 hours and we shall divide it into two parts:

First, the approach: From the beginning of the route (615 meters above sea level) we shall descend to the mythical Entreforc (180m.a.s.l) by a path with very long zigzags, where the giddy views of the cross-section of the torrente lead us to the place from which w can continue the trek.

Second, the technical route: From the Entreforc  (the meeting point of the Gorg Blau and Lluc torrents) the 3200mts o the torrent d Pareis remains in front of us. Here we shall confront 6 steps (one of them with rope) where we shall have to use the “opposition technique” . It is essential not suffer from vertigo, to have good balance and to b able to jump from a height of one meter. Maximum  8  people per 1 guide.

Descents all  year.

Dry season: Normally from April or May until October the pools are dry, allowing us to make the trek without having to go through water or taking off boots for one or two pools, at the most. It is essential: to wear mountain boots, to carry 2 liters of water per person, food, sun protection and cap.

Wet season: Normally, from October until May, the torrente is partially or totally full of water, offering us the opportunity of a more exciting descent. Of course, with neoprene wet suit!
