TRIPS & HIGH TREKKING
We have chosen four destinations of scenic and outstanding cultural richness: Alps, Atlas, Andes and Himalayas, certainly the mythical range which many of us long to know. MallorcAlpina, with a professional hallmark, will bring us closer to them in a spirit of adventure and sound judgement when designing the daily itineraries. All the trekkings offered here will be accompanied by Eduard Casajuana and some of them with the aid of local guides and load- carrying animals. Our philosophy is to make the journey a vivid experience in all aspects. To achieve this, we are going to put all our efforts into making these opportunities the best investment for you. All in all: excitement, adventure, culture, gastronomy, sport and, above all, to enrich our passion for the mountain. Alps, Tour of Mont Blanc. Right in the heart of old Europe are situated the Western Alps. Here in the massif of Mont Blanc, the birthplace of worldwide mountaineering, is where we shall spend our time to make the whole circuit, visiting three different countries: France, Italy and Switzerland. This is a trekking route where, from day to day, there are fantastic views of the different slopes which form the massif, with mountain passes of more than 2500 meters. Along with the notable cultural diversity of the journey, this makes it the most representative trekking route in Europe. Departures from Palma or also from Chamonix, August 2011. For 14 Days. Maximum 8 people. Atlas, Ascension of Toubkal. A stone’s throw from the south of the Iberian peninsular, we discover a world different to ours, it is called morocco and it is to its roof (Jbel Toubkal 4167mts) that we shall direct our steps. We are going to climb in the winter season; therefore, we shall need to use crampons and ice-axe. This trekking- ascension is designed to be non- technical, and is a good opportunity to begin climbing in the world of the winter mountain. Departures: January and March 2011, from Marrakech for 6 days. Maximum 8 people. Andes, the Cordillera Blanca. Situated in the tropics, is the place where can be found the highest mountains in Perú and in the American continent. In this lofty landscape, the rich legacy of Andean culture blends with the majesty and the beauty of her mountains. We shall cross mountain passes of more than 4700 meters high and contemplate in person one of most beautiful natural spectacles of the planet: the National Park of Huascaran, all of which will be the normal trend of our journey. Departures: July 2011, from Lima for 23 days. Maximum 8 people. Himalayas, Nepal. A country which encompasses a diversity of culture and a spectacular landscape with the Himalayan range as the best example, is, without doubt, the Mecca for the practice of our favourite sport: trekking. To visit the National Park of Sagarmatha is to learn, at first hand, about the friendly Sherpa people and their customs, to cross mountain passes of more than 5400 meters with, amazing views of the highest mountains in the world, among them, Everest. In short, it is to bring back to mind the steps of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay which left such an impression in these luxuriant valleys.
