Mallorca Self Guided Hiking Trip
Our hike on the GR 221 on the beautiful island of Mallorca was phenomenal! Eduard’s planning, support, local knowledge, and positive energy was more than we had even imagined a trip could look like. He thought of everything- a stunning 8 day hike to follow, beautiful and local hotels, and a thoughtful “road map” that not only clearly guided us along our journey but also included the human history of the area. Eduard’s local knowledge showed and I felt like we got to see a side of the culture that we would not have experienced with a larger non- local company. Eduard also catered the trip to meet our specific needs- including navigating around a heat wave! Solos un grupo de 8 amigos de Vitoria-Gasteiz que hemos hecho el GR221, pedra en sec,por la espectacular sierra de la Tramontana mallorquina. Ha sido una grata experiencia, preciosos pueblos y paisajes, gente amable,buen tiempo...qué más se puede pedir? The best self-guided hiking trip with the extra comfort of a good hotel every night!
Eduard is the best host for a trip in the Mallorcan mountains! The routes he prepared and hotels he booked were splendid. He provided detailed navigation (both gpx, marked maps, written instructions and pictures) and great restaurant suggestions at every stop. My friend and me did the 5 day trip from Valdemossa to Pollenca, and booked an extra night in Pollenca before going back to the airport. The hikes are difficult in some parts, but well balanced and beautiful. Eduard kept us informed about the weather and possible modifications where necessary. GR221 - 5 days of great hiking experience
My boyfriend and I just finished the 5-day self-guided GR221 Etapa 4-8 and absolutely loved it!! Stunning scenery every day - with breathtaking sea and mountain views. Eduard from MallorcAlpina provided us with clear maps, GPS, and organised smooth luggage transfers. The accommodations in the mountain villages were also a highlight. You will love it!
We (a family of 4 with adult children) worked with Eduard at MallorcAlpina to organize a wonderful visit to Mallorca. Our week was a wonderful selection of guided and self-guided hiking. We skipped Palma and spent all of our time staying in Valldemossa and Soller. Hotels were very comfortable. Eduard was always in touch to make everything run as smoothly as possible and he personally guided us on 2 very beautiful hikes. GR221 Self Guided 8 Day Trek
From the very beginning of our communication with Eduard at MallorcAlpina, to completing the 8 day self guided GR221 trek, we couldn't have asked for more! Our party of 8 booked the self guided premium package which suited us perfectly with varied accommodation such as a beautiful renovated hotel in the centre placa of Soller, to rural hotels in Deia and Valldemossa with magnificent views, and even the refugi Tossals Verds sharing a bunk room; everything was just as described. Eduard worked hard transporting luggage for 8 people (sorry Eduard, we didn't travel light!) and kept in touch with us each day with weather reports, GPX files and any further information. The maps and write ups for each day were also great to give us local information. The walk itself was stunning, walking from the bottom to the top of the island along the Serre de Tramuntana mountain range. We had different views each day walking through olive groves, mountain paths, pilgrim paths and following the sea. Magical holiday
Amazing week away doing the GR221 with friends. Eduard organised the hotels, hostel and monestry for our over night stays. He also delivered our luggage safely there. The walk was unbelievable a real way of seeing the heart of Majorca and the lovely villages on the north of the island. Walking though oak woods, coming across a hermitage and many more interesting things. I couldn’t recommend this walk enough as long as you have a fairly good level of fitness and walk regularly you’ll be fine. You go up and down the hill/ mountains of Majorca from one side to the other. Eduard is a real support giving weather updates and info and pictures of the walk. Enjoy !

Self-guided GR221
We had a fantastic self-guided GR221 trip with MallorcAlpina. Hotel booking and luggage transfers went perfectly and made the trip very comfortable. Walking the GR221
We had a wonderful 8 days self guided on the GR221 in Mallorca. It was excellent. Eduardo met us at the start and gave us a briefing and clear instructions on the route.
