Hiking in group with guide: Spring, autumn and winter

International groups: official language english

In the northwest of the biggest island in Spain, Mallorca, there a quiet and traditional landscape, far away from the busy touristic centers in the south of the island

Emerging abruptly from the Mediterranean Sea, the fantastic 400m vertical cliffs that extend to more than 1000m in capricious ridges and large masses of limestone, form the spectacular relief of the wild Serra de Tramuntana.

Through medieval paths that run through the forest, the coast and the mountains, we will find vestiges of ancient industries that will help us to understand ancient traditional jobs of the mountains already lost in time. We will walk towards one of the highest peaks of the mountain range with the omnipresent view of the sea or we will visit the dry stone terraces that treasure millenary olive trees or orange and lemon trees bathed in the sun. We will visit beautiful villages, towns and traditional ports in the mountains, as well as remote pebbled coves with crystal clear waters where, and if the weather is good, we will be able to swim.

This is a trip where comfort and strategic location of accommodation prevail in the picturesque port of Sóller or in Sóller (depending on the season), along with the best walking routes in the Spanish Mediterranean.

A memorable trip!

We first walk through the secluded valley of Balitx, once with a strong olive tradition, until we overcome the mythical Biniamar pass (365m). Once past the pass, we enter the domains of the wild bay of sa Costera, dominated by the dramatic buttresses of the northern slope of the Moncaire mountain (839m), a spectacle of nature and Mediterranean landscape, the path becomes a pure delight for all the senses! General information

Here we show you the average temperatures and rainy days in the Serra de Tramuntana during the months we perform this trip

The winter season is a very good time to walk in Mallorca, as there are many bright days with blue skies and optimal visibility for photography, and also for the peace and tranquility that reigns in the mountains. At the beginning of the 20th century, the first tourists who came to the island always came to walk in winter, away from the extreme climate of central and northern Europe.

During the two high hiking seasons: both in autumn, with the sea temperature still warm and the capricious games of lights in the mountains, and in spring with the explosion of life that happens, the Serra de Tramuntana gives us endless interesting colours that vary throughout the year.

In Mallorca, fortunately sometimes it also rains. So you also have to be prepared for a possible rainy day and maybe some cold.
